2006 ASEAN Pre-University Scholarships

For those interested, the ASEAN Pre-University Scholarships offered by Singapore’s Ministry of Education is now open for applications.

The ASEAN Pre-University Scholarships are offered annually to outstanding students from the ASEAN region. They provide an opportunity for studies in top junior colleges in Singapore, leading to the General Certificate of Education (Advanced) Level Examinations. The scholarships are offered “in line with the Singapore Government’s long-term objective of helping our ASEAN neighbours develop human resource”.

Scholars will sit for the GCE ‘A’ Level examinations at the end of 2007. Those who secure good grades in the GCE ‘A’ Level examinations will have the opportunity to pursue undergraduate studies in Singapore or overseas on an undergraduate scholarship.

The closing date of the application is on 26th October 2005. Those already in Singapore schools need not apply. For more information on the scholarship and education in Singapore, please visit the scholarship website.
